With many years experience of advising families on their personal and business affairs, the members of the team are skilled in advising on the wide range of issues arising. As well as lifetime and post-death financial planning issues, the team also deals with post-death disputes relating to estates and disputes relating to trusts and family businesses, and seeks to find cost-effective solutions that avoid litigation, recommending alternative forms of dispute resolution wherever appropriate. Matters with which the team deals include:

  • preparing wills
  • financial planning advice
  • administration of estates and acting as executors
  • trust formation and acting as trustees
  • preparing enduring powers of attorney and advising on mental capacity issues
  • formation of trusts for the mentally handicapped
  • receiverships and proceedings in the Court of Protection
  • post-death claims against estates by spouses, civil partners or dependants
  • probate and trust disputes
